To friends and fellow kin of the Lass family, we regret to inform you that for the following month, we will not be available in Minnesota. Instead, we'll be taking the opportunity of using Brady's final J-Term in his senior year of college for one heck of an experience. After years and months of planning and work, the Lass family is heading down to Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand!
This Saturday, Marty, Michelle, and Brady (sorry Molly...) will head out to the island of Kaua'i for a week. We've been to other parts of Hawaii before, but it's always a pleasure to go back to these gorgeous beaches before heading out to uncharted territory for us!
After our time there, we'll be taking a plane and be going forward 21 hours in the time zone to the country/continent (or whatever you wanna call it) of Australia! We'll be hitting a couple of the big cities and landmarks such as Sydney and the Great Barrier Reef while exploring the customs and cuisine the Aussies have to offer!
Our last stop will be the mountainous regions of New Zealand, where we plan to see breathtaking grasslands while Brady releases his inner geek at The Lord of the Rings filming locations. The sites will thankfully be distracting enough to prevent him from explaining the plot of the movies to Michelle for the 17th time. Then we fly back to Minnesota's winters in early February.
Since this trip is so long and memorable, we've decided to blog our experiences here! Nearly every day, we'll update you on what we've been through and experienced in these respective regions of the world through both text and pictures. If you wanna keep up, follow this on blogspot, copy and paste the web address, or follow Brady's Facebook, as he'll update his followers through posts as the trip continues.
2017 is gonna be a big year in all of our lives, so why not start it with something as fun and memorable as this? We're beyond excited for this trip, and we can't wait to share our experiences with you as it goes on! Here's to the vacation of a lifetime.
